Jackson Lee launched a press release on Twitter after a girl claimed the airline gave away her seat to the congresswoman on her flight from Houston to Washington.

The airline issued the girl, Jean-Marie Simon, a $500 voucher after the incident and he or she was reassigned to the aircraft’s economic system part.
United issued a press release saying they discovered after an investigation that Simon appeared to have canceled her flight — which Simon denies.
