Budget 2018: Philip Hammond announces new tax on plastic packaging with less than 30% recycled material

Philip Hammond has introduced a brand new tax on the manufacture and import of plastic packaging that comprises lower than 30 per cent recycled plastic.

The chancellor made the announcement as a part of his Autumn Finances, during which he additionally stated he wouldn’t be introducing a tax on takeaway plastic cups.
