Jeremy Corbyn has suffered a serious Brexit rise up within the Commons as dozens of his backbenchers defied his orders and 5 junior frontbenchers resigned from their roles.


It comes after Mr Corbyn ordered his MPs to abstain on the modification put ahead by friends within the higher chamber that will have stored Britain within the European Financial Space (EEA) after Britain’s withdrawal from the EU.

MPs rejected the modification by 327 to 126.
