Northern Ireland MLAs have pay cut by £13,000 after 18 months of not sitting in Stormont Assembly

The pay of Northern Eire meeting members shall be slashed by greater than £13,000, in a bid to revive energy sharing after nearly 600 days.

Stormont members should not “performing the complete vary of their legislative features”, Karen Bradley, the Northern Eire secretary mentioned.

The transfer follows the repeated failure to heal the bitter divide between the Democratic Unionists and Sinn Fein, to revive their coalition.
