Prime minister’s questions descended into chaos right now because the SNP chief was expelled from the Commons – prompting a mass walkout from his social gathering colleagues.

Ian Blackford was ordered out by a flustered John Bercow, after he refused to take a seat down in a protest over a failure to debate what he known as a Brexit “energy seize” from Scotland.

The row held up questions from a number of minutes, earlier than the SNP MPs left the chamber en masse – some shouting and pointing on the Speaker and Tory MPs.

The SNP was livid after a strict guillotine on debate on the EU Withdrawal Invoice left simply 15 minutes to debate a sequence of devolution controversies on Tuesday night.
